William E. VanSickel, 69, recently of Southmont and formerly of Ursina, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023 at Windber Hospice. He was born November 28, 1954 in Meyersdale, a son of Doris E. (Augustine) VanSickel, Southmont and the late Robert E. VanSickel. In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister, Christine Richey (Dr. James), Southmont and nephews, Jonathan Wetmiller (Kerry), Baltimore, MD and Timothy Wetmiller, Seattle, WA. Bill was a member of the Bull Terrier Club of America and the National Woodie Club. He had a love for motorcycles, antique cars, bull terriers and his sister's grandchildren. He enjoyed yard work and gardening and was meticulous at both. There will be no viewing or funeral service at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment in Ursina Cemetery.
