William C. Kerns, 91, Fort Hill, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at his home. He was born June 4, 1927 in Ridgely, West Virginia, a son of Frederick J. and Mary F. (Cochran) Kerns. His parents, son, Randy, grandson, Edgar E. Mitchell III, brother, Frederick R. and sister, Alma Ruth Kerns preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Viola (Phillippi); son, William D., Markleton; daughter, Diane Mitchell, Markleton; five grandchildren, Thomas J. Mitchell, Jon and Robert Kerns and Fred and Chad Kerns and 2 great grandchildren. There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2:30 PM in the Kingwood Church of God with Rev. James Monticue officiating.
