Virginia P. "Pauline" (Berkey) Tichnell, 77, of Maryland, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020. She was born January 25, 1943 in Somerset, PA, a daughter of Orie Berkey, and raised by Laura Broadwater. Her parents, brothers, William and Carl Berkey, and sister, Marian Newman preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Bargy and husband, Bud, and family, and Donna Godlove and children, Iva and William Godlove; sisters, Betty Cameron, Shirley Nicholas, and Helen Humphrey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pauline was formerly employed at Bausch & Lomb and was a former member of the Deer Park Town Council. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, PA, where a service will be held at 1 PM Monday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. There will be one hour viewing prior to the service on Monday. In observance of COVID-19 guidelines, masks and social distancing are recommended.
