Roger L. Tressler, 72, Markleton, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born March 16, 1948 in Somerset to the late Robert F. and Ruth (Younkin) Tressler. He is survived by his loving family, daughter, Hope Orndorff and fiancé, Daniel Moreau, Markleysburg, grandson and hunting buddy, Devon Orndorff, Mill Run and sister, Rose Tressler, Markleton. Roger was a 1966 graduate of Rockwood Area High School and a member of Carpenter's Union Local #2274 for 50+ years. He loved to hunt and fish. Roger always had an amazing garden and loved canning. He leaves behind many friends, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, Lou, Linda and Beattie. The family would like to especially thank everyone from Heartland Hospice, who made Roger comfortable over the last few weeks. Friends will be received from 3-7 PM Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Friday with Rev. James Monticue officiating. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Kingwood Church of God or Heartland Hospice. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, face masks are recommended.
