Richard S. "Dick" Enos, 85, Warrenton, VA, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Warrenton. He was born March 7, 1938 to Walton and Mary (Goniak) Enos. His parents, wife, Anna Maria (Batis), brothers Adelbert "Deb" and H. John, and sisters Catherine Jean Prince and Barbara Green preceded him in death. He is survived by sons Jeffrey Enos, Warrenton and Gregory Enos, Woodbridge, VA and a daughter, Tanya Taatjes, Robesonia, PA; 7 grandchildren; a brother James, Jessup, MD and a sister, Mary Ellen Deal, Confluence. Dick was a graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School and a veteran of the US Air Force. In 1962, Dick married the love of his life, Anna Maria Batis and they soon moved to Virginia where Dick began his 30-year career with the CIA. He proudly served in the Office of Information Technology. In 1979, Dick and Anna Maria moved their family from Burke, VA for some fresh country air in Calverton, VA, where they would remain for the next 25 years. His passion was his family and making it to as many of the grandkids' sports games and events as possible. He enjoyed helping family with yard work and projects. Aside from his family, he loved his dear and ever-frustrating Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. If you were ever fortunate enough to meet Dick, you were a better person for it! Family and friends will be received from 11:30 AM to 1 PM Saturday, March 2 at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM with the Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery. Please join the family for food and celebration at the Confluence Senior Center afterward.
