Obituary

Raymond R. Tressler, 82, Confluence, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland, MD. He was born April 13, 1943, a son of Calvin and Kathryn (Myers) Tressler. His parents, former wife, Virginia (Blubaugh) Tressler, sister, Phyllis Gower and a brother, Paul Tressler preceded him in death. He is survived by daughters, Sheila Tressler, Confluence and Autumn (Paul) Muehlbauer, Venice, FL; grandchildren, Robert (Makenna) Lager, Miranda Muehlbauer, Kaitlyn (Ricky) Rugg, Ricky McClintock and Portia and Skylar Muehlbauer; great grandchildren, Beckett Lee, Aubree, Presley and Maci Lager and Araina and Kashton Rugg. Ray was a 1961 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School. He joined the Cement Masons Union Local 526 in September of 1967 and worked for Mekis Construction Corp. for 41 years until his retirement in November 2011. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, especially on Lake Erie and trout fishing in McClintock Run. He hunted Coon Hollow for over 50 years and so enjoyed his hunting trips to Colorado, Tennessee and especially his last trip with his father, Calvin to Canada and their adventure with a moose. When Ray wasn't doing all of the above you could find him in his wood shop where he took pride and joy in making kitchen cabinets, furniture, crown moldings and every and anything you could make out of wood. He also enjoyed all the company he had in his wood shop over the years. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
