It is with great sadness that the family of Peggy Joanne Carolus announces her passing on October 12, 2021 at the age of 79 years. She was born November 11, 1941 in Markleton, a daughter of Harry Nicklow and Mollie (Tressler) Nicklow Kreger. Her parents, sisters, EvaNell Ream, Annabelle Pletcher, Etta Grace Turney, infant sister, Martha and a brother, Harold "Bud" Nicklow preceded her in death. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 58 years, Merle; daughters and families, Jodi (Karl) Toennies and their children, Derek and Brooke; Terri Mitchell (Jay "Beetz" Fisher) and her son, Braxton Mitchell; Molly (Chad) O'Brien and their children, Joseph and Kelsey; and Sondra (Brian) Laub and their children, Payton and Makena; sister, Gerry Cameron (Gene) and brother, Von Nicklow, both of Somerset. Peggy will be fondly remembered for her devotion to her family and friends, her home-style cooking and years of service in church playing the piano, organ and singing in the choir. A private visitation and funeral for the immediate family will be held at Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence with Rev. Tim Dietrich officiating. Interment in Kingwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. A celebration of life service to honor Peggy will be held at a later date at Rockwood Alliance Church.
