Mary Frances Whetsell, 92, of Addison, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her home. She was born April 15, 1924 in Somerfield, a daughter of Edward Bruce and Edna Mary (Hall) Sellers. She was an active member of the Addison United Methodist Church. An avid gardener and hostess, she had a gift for making everyone who met her feel comfortable and welcome. She considered her neighbors and friends to be as close as family and she loved her community deeply. Her parents, husband, James C., daughter, Juliann Whetsell Mitchell, son-in-law David Mitchell and a sister, Jean Morse preceded her in death. She is survived by her granddaughter, Mirabella Mitchell of Philadelphia. At Mary's request there will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 11 AM in the Addison United Methodist Church. Friends are invited.
