Mabel J. Shipley, 85, Toledo, Ohio, formerly of Confluence, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 in Toledo. She was born September 28, 1934 in Confluence, a daughter of Arthur and Sadie (Hensel) Tressler. Her parents, husband, Alfred, brothers, George, Warren, Blair, Everett and Howard Tressler and sisters, Marie Clevenger Weller, Margaret Lee, Leona Nolf, Virginia Rugg, Betty Faidley and Ruth Crawford preceded her in death. She is survived by sons, Michael Shipley, Niles, OH and Phillip Shipley, Mineral Ridge, OH and daughters, Beth Ann Dever and husband, Tom, Oregon, OH and Crystal Dever and husband, Vance, Kent City, MI; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mabel was a member of the O.E.S. in Niles, OH and an avid bingo player. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 1 PM Sunday with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Jersey Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Sunday. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, facial masks are recommended but will not be mandatory.
