Luther Byron Nace II, 66, Confluence, passed away along with his wife, Christa, on Friday, February 28, 2025 at their home. He was born February 2, 1959 at Ft. Sill, OK, a son of Luther B. "Herk" Nace, Jr. of Confluence and the late Anna M. (Diehl) Nace. In addition to his wife and mother, he was predeceased by daughters, Kristy Lyn Nace and Anna Marie Armstrong and a sister, Margaret Leone. Surviving are his father, daughters, Emily Spears (Dale), Meyersdale and Nellie Jacob (Dan), Cairnbrook and grandchildren, Tanner Armstrong and Evie and Milo Jacob. Byron was a graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School Class of 1976, a life member of the NRA and a retired truck driver for Bowman Trucking, Somerset. He was a recipient of a three million miles safe driver award and spent all of his spare time tending to Nace Family Farms. Byron was also an experienced conversationalist who had his fair share of stories to tell. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a joint service for he and Christa will be held at 11 AM Thursday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating.
