Louis M. Thompson, 69, of Confluence, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the home of his step daughter. He was born August 24, 1944 in Butler, a son of Robert and Dorothy (Snow) Thompson. His parents, step son, Greg Hilliard, grandson, Charles McCandless and step father, Daniel Kriebel preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Ida Kay (Hilliard) Thompson, son, Louis D. Thompson, North Carolina, daughters, Tammy Ojeda, California and Lenora Carson, New Castle; step sons, Robert Ickes, Meyersdale and John Ickes, Altoona; step daughters, Elizabeth Metheney and Linda Ickes, both of Confluence; 17 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and a brother Daniel Kriebel, of Parker. Louis was a retired veteran of the Army National Guard. Friends will be received from 7-9 PM Friday, November 1, 2013 and 11 AM – 1 PM, the hour of service, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. Rev. James Keslar officiating. Interment in Maple Summit Cemetery.
