Lewis E. Lytle, 88, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Somerset Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Somerset. He was born January 20, 1936 in Confluence to Raymond L. and Leah L. (Leslie) Lytle. He is survived by daughters, Patti Woods, Confluence, Vicki King (David), Farmington, and Peggy Nickelson (Carl III), Confluence; sisters, Fern Enos (James), Jessup, MD, Loretta Mitchell (Hilton), Berlin, Carolyn Pletcher (Eldon), Rockwood, and Linda Plume (James), Niles OH; and brother, Dale Lytle (Earlene), Mineral Ridge, OH; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, wife Nancy A. (Phillippi), and sons Robert and Gerald Lytle. He was a 1953 graduate of Rockwood High School and a veteran of the US Navy. Lewis retired from Bowman Trucking after 35 years of long-haul trucking. He enjoyed polka music, playing cards, hunting and fishing. He was affectionately known as "Pappy" to many. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday, March 30th at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, April 1st, with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Kingwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service.
