Leora Mae (Stark) Burnsworth, 94, Mill Run, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 at Eicher's Family Home, Normalville. She was born September 9, 1924 near Hickman Chapel, a daughter of John and Cora (Daniels) Stark. She was the 9 ^th of 10 children and the last surviving member. She married her husband, Donald N. Burnsworth on April 9, 1942. They were married for 70 years until Donald's death in 2012. They had 7 children: Donald (Pete) and wife, Patty, both deceased; Raymond and wife, Jan, John and wife, Connie, Timothy and wife, Sharon, Cora Kilgore (husband, Gary, deceased), Harry and wife, Nancy and Eldora "Ellie" Spargur and husband, Kyle, all of Maple Summit. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a dear friend, Portia of South Carolina. Leora owned and operated M S Country Store in Maple Summit for many years. She attended Hickman Chapel Church in her youth and was a big part of the Maple Summit Church for years. She taught Sunday School, led church services, and helped look after the Maple Summit Cemetery. She was a loving and kind person and will be greatly missed by many, mostly by her family. Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Monday (today) and from 11 AM till 1 PM, the hour of service on Tuesday, at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating.
