Leon Rodger Ohler, 81, of Scullton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at UPMC Altoona surrounded by his family. He was born May 12, 1943 in Scullton, the son of U. Grant and Hazel (King) Ohler. His parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Karen (Tressler), son Luke (Telma), King George, VA; daughter, Vicki Merchant (Dale), Boyds, MD; grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Alexandria, Stephen, Christian, Sara, and Alvaro; a sister, Mildred Hobernicht, Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg, and beloved dog and best friend, Jasper. Leon had a long career with the PA Fish and Boat Commission. He dedicated his life to his family farm in Scullton and was a lifelong member of Wesley Chapel Church. He loved talking with others about raising cattle and his love for farming. There will be no viewing. A private graveside service will be held at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Roger Howard officiating.
