Kyle Richard Strait, 16, of Broadway, North Carolina, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 in Broadway. Surviving are his mother, Heidi Shipley-Hayden, formerly of Confluence and step father, Jerome Matthews, of Broadway, brother, Larry Strait, Broadway, sister, Kaysie Reed Hirtz, Johnstown, uncle, Carl Shipley, Broadway and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kyle was a student at Western Harnett High School and a member of the wrestling team and JROTC. Arrangements include viewing from 2-6 PM Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where a service will be held at 10 AM Thursday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery.
