John W. Feathers, Sr., 65, of Confluence, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at his home. He was born April 20, 1950 in Johnstown. He is survived by his wife, Audrey (Sterner), sons, Robert Feathers and wife, Amy, Friedens and John W. Feathers, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Oakland, Nebraska; daughters, Stacy Feathers and Tom Close, Jr., Confluence and Winter Feathers and A.J. Boston, Confluence; 10 grandchildren and a great granddaughter; also, brother-in-law, Robert Sterner and wife, Diane, Confluence. His mother, Edna and 2 granddaughters preceded him in death. John served with the Green Berets of the 82nd Airborne, 102 Infantry Division during Vietnam and was a member of Iron Workers Local 568. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday and 11 AM to 1:30 PM Sunday. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating.
