Jean R. Murray, 84, of Confluence, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Somerset Hospital. She was born January 11, 1932 in McKeesport, a daughter of Rutherford B. and Etta (Romesburg) Hayes. Her parents, husband, Harry J.D., brothers, Harry and Bill Wilson and sisters, Mabel Hayes and Zelma Pyle preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Lon Murray and Liz Younkin, Confluence; grandchildren, Tyler and Lake Murray and Brenden and Ryelee Younkin; nephews, Harry "Sonny" Wilson and Terry Wilson and nieces, Shirley Hager, Beverly Fisher and Betty Pyle. Jean was a graduate of North Versailles High School and California Univ. of PA and a member of Confluence V.F.W. Post 7250 Ladies Auxiliary, Confluence United Methodist Church and Methodist Women, Red Hats, Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Assoc. and the former Confluence Women's Civic Club. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence on Saturday 3 - 8 PM and Sunday 11 AM - 1:30 PM the hour of service with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery.
