James H. Stephens, 75, Somerset, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Siemon Lakeview Manor, Somerset. He was born March 6, 1944 in Somerset, a son of Howard and Helen (Kelly) Stephens. His parents and wife, Maria (Juhas) Stephens preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Julie Wenger and husband, Brian and a son, Jason; 3 grandchildren, Matthew and Natalie Wenger and Jocelyn Stephens. Jim was a graduate of Somerset Area High School and the University of Miami, where he played football for the Hurricanes as a right guard from 1962-1966. Following his retirement, where he worked as a geological engineer on natural gas pipelines, he enjoyed hunting, golfing and living in the country. There will be no viewing or funeral service. Burial will be private in Somerset County Memorial Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers contributions in Jim's memory to Heartland Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., #103, Somerset, PA 15501.
