Howard B. Lancaster, 74, Somerset, formerly of Confluence, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by those he loved. He was born May 30, 1948 in Baltimore, MD, a son of Virgil Lancaster and Edith (Bittinger) Lancaster Turney. His parents, step father, Jack Turney, son, David Lancaster, grandsons, Herbert and Evan Lancaster, brothers, Charles and Paul Lancaster and sister, Crystal Turney preceded him in death. He is survived by ten children; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Linda Stromses, Confluence, brothers, Jason Turney, Confluence and Jack Turney, Washington and lifelong friends, Jim Gary, John Fazenbaker and Gilbert Hornick. Friends will be received from 4-6 PM Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a memorial service will follow the visitation at 6 PM with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family to assist with funeral costs would be appreciated.
