SMITH
Helen L. Smith, 91, of Confluence, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. She was born September 1, 1924 in Confluence, a daughter of Raymond and Alice (Becket) Smith. Her parents, brother, Robert Smith, sister, Gertrude Gary and nieces, Patricia Dean and Shirley Lytle preceded her in death. She is survived by nephews, Edward Gary, White Oak, and Frederick Gary, Forest Hills and locally by great nephews, Robert and Michael Lytle and great niece, Amber Lytle; also a number of great and great great nieces and nephews. Helen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Hill and owned and operated Smith's Greenhouse in Ursina for many years. Friends will be received from 7-9 PM Wednesday and 11 AM to 1 PM, the hour of service, Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will follow at 1 PM with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Ursina Cemetery.
