Helen L. Burnworth, 99, Somerset, formerly of Confluence, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at The Patriot. She was born July 26, 1924 in Confluence, a daughter of the late William and Carrie (Nicklow) Lee. Helen married her first love, Paul Burnworth, loving him for over 50 years before they were parted by his death. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Ryan, Somerset and son, Thomas Burnworth and wife Dana, Confluence; granddaughters, Alisa Lowrey and husband Paul, Erin Snyder and husband Jeremy, Erika Lawton and husband William III; great grandchildren Bradon and Alexis Lowrey, Jada, Avry, Zoey, Maya, and Reis Snyder, Liam and Gievanna Lawton, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Helen was a strong and optimistic woman. She was able to live independently until after her 99th birthday, when she accepted moving to the Patriot to live out the remainder of her life. Though she loved her friends and going shopping, Helen's favorite roll was that of a grandmother.  She treasured being "Gram," never failing to offer a snack and something to drink. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Stephen Zirkle officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
