Harvey W. Reckner's Obituary
Harvey W. Reckner, Sr., 94, of Confluence, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 in In Touch Hospice House of Journey's Rest, Somerset. He was born September 23, 1919 in Confluence, a son of Calvin and Ella (Morrison) Reckner. His parents, wife, Elsie (Whaley), son, Stephen and sisters, Grace Rodahaver and Della Frantz preceded him in death. He is survived by a son Harvey, Jr. and wife, Ida Mae, of Confluence; granddaughters, Venus Stark and husband, Jeff, Maryland, Julie Adamsky and husband, Doug, Confluence and Stephanie Speicher and husband, Wayne, Martinsburg; great grandchildren, Tanya and Tessa Heinbaugh, Hannah Adamsky, and Sierra, Stevee and Wyatt Speicher and daughter-in-law, Bernice Reckner, Confluence. Harvey was a member of the Johnson Chapel United Methodist Church. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 7, 2014 with Pastor Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Harvey's memory to the Johnson Chapel U. M. Church, 1393 Mae West Rd., Confluence, PA 15424.
