Gordon R. Fennell, 81, Ursina, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at In Touch Hospice, Somerset. He was born November 16, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of George and Thalia Mae (Gordon) Fennell. His parents and a daughter, Marlene preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda (Clever) Fennell; daughter, Debbie Nicholson and husband, Rampsey, Listonburg; grandsons, Nicholas Boren and wife, Shasty, McHenry, MD, Zachary Boren, Cary, NC, and Seth Nicholson and wife, Mercedes, Grantsville, MD and two great grandchildren, Daniel and Lily Boren, the loves of his life. Gordon was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and retired from Caterpillar. He was the mayor of Ursina and a member of the United Community Church of God, Confluence Volunteer Fire Dept., Confluence V.F.W. Post 7250, Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Assoc. and a regular attendee at the Confluence Senior Center.There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 12 Noon in the United Community Church of God in Ursina with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Inurnment in Ursina Cemetery.
