Goldie Elaine Clevenger, 76, Confluence, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her home. She was born November 2, 1944 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of Benjamin F. and Goldie E. (Rugg) Basinger. Her parents, husband, Paul, sisters, Jane Hechler, Lois Gyorko, Lola Bittinger and Ila Mae Wiltrout and brothers, Eugene and Alfred Shipley and Herbert, Ronald, Frank, Fred, Jerry, Joseph and Slater Basinger preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, sons, Jeffrey Paul Clevenger, Markleton, William Fredrick Basinger (Tina Enos), Confluence, Jody Clevenger (Amy), Fort Hill, and Joshua Craig Clevenger, Confluence; daughters, Paula Elaine (Clarence), Quecreek and Lori McCarty (Terry), Confluence; grandchildren, Levi, Justin, Taylor, Janelle (Gary), Jared, Michael (Anna), Megan, Jeremy and Kendall; great grandchildren, Izabella and Gavin; sister, Diane Sterner and brother, Bradley Gyorko. Elaine was a member of Confluence V.F.W. Post 7250 Ladies Auxiliary and the Jersey Hollow Crew. She was employed at various businesses during her life including Faymore Mfg., South Fayette Nursing Center and Deer Valley YMCA Camp and as a "Friday morning" hair dresser. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 1 PM Saturday with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
