Glenn L. Hoover, Sr., 93, Fort Hill, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1929 in Charleston, WV, a son of Telford and Jessie (Uphold) Hoover. His parents, wife, Elva (Nicholson), son, Telford "Joe" and brothers, Stanley and Arnold preceded him in death. He is survived by sons, Glenn, Jr. (Karen), Fort Hill and Leonard (Darla), Confluence and daughters, Jacqueline Conn, Confluence and Melva Conway (Roger), North Carolina; 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Donna Hoover, Fort Hill and long time friend, Helen Ream, Meyersdale. Glenn was a lifelong timberman and an avid hunter and fisherman. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Interment in Silbaugh Cemetery. Viewing one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
