Gertrude E. Livengood Nisonger, 93, Fort Hill, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at The Patriot in Somerset. She was born May 7, 1924 in McHenry, MD, a daughter of Clarence and Minnie (Alexander) Zimmerman. Her parents, first husband, Clifford Livengood, an infant son, grandson and brother and a sister, Nellie Dixon preceded her in death. She is survived by sons, Donald Livengood and wife, Donna and Randy Livengood and wife, Dorothy, both of Florida; daughters, Arlene Wright and husband, Leman, Texas, Dianne Tressler and husband, J.D., and Kay Paugh, both of Fort Hill; grandchildren, Leman Wright III, Lisa Wright, Randy Livengood II, Olivia Hubbard, Kathy Wells and Bert Paugh; 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; sisters, Jean Reams and Laura Hutchison, both of Maryland. She was a member of Ursina American Legion Auxiliary Post 946 and Confluence VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7250. Gertrude enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a talent for drawing and sketching flowers and birds. Over the years she embroidered pillowcases and other things as gifts for family and friends. There will be no viewing or visitation. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Friday at 1 PM in the Silbaugh Cemetery with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the United Community Church of God, 405 Park St., Confluence, PA 15424.
