Deborah Gail (Rush) Smith, 79, Latrobe, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born May 16, 1943 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late Glenn A. Savage and Millicent A. Rush. Her parents, sister, Charity Enos and grandson, Collin R. Smith preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Richard D., sons, Richard D. II, Confluence, Shane C. (Gina), Latrobe and Lance P., Confluence and a daughter, Heather R. DeHaven, Confluence; grandchildren, Noah R. Smith, Riley E. Smith, Sarah G. DeHaven, Wyatt L. DeHaven, Stanton P. Smith and Lawson D. Smith; sister, Nema S. Nichols (Martin), Confluence and a special nephew, Chad A. Enos; also numerous other nieces and nephews. Gail was a 1961 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley High School and a loving and devoted wife and mother. Friends will be received from 6-9 PM Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Saturday with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating. Interment in Jersey Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service Saturday morning.
