Fred R. Rugg, Sr., 70, Confluence, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown. He was born June 7, 1947 in Mill Run, a son of George W. and Violet (Porterfield) Rugg. His parents, daughter, Amanda Jane Rugg, granddaughter, Amanda L. Rugg, sisters, Hilda and Doris and a brother, George preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Doyle) "Betty Kay", Lemont Furnace; sons, Fred R. Rugg, Jr. and wife Tammy, Lemont Furnace, George W. Rugg and wife, Carla, Confluence and Jonathan Humphrey and wife, Diane, Grantsville, MD; daughters, Misty Cramer and husband, Harry and Helen Humphrey, both of Somerset; 14 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; sisters, Myrtle Barta, Naples, FL, Daisy Finder, Greensboro, NC and Lois Rugg, Scottdale; and a brother, Daniel Rugg, Naples. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will follow the viewing at 8 PM with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating.
