Frances L. Bowers, 77, Connellsville, formerly of Confluence, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at her home. She was born April 28, 1945 in Mill Run, a daughter of William S. and Susan (Shroyer) Bowers. Her parents, husband, Joseph Nicholson, sons, Ralph Bowers and Joseph Nicholson, Jr., sister, Stella Gallentine and brothers, Carl, Ray, Ira, Richard and Tommy Bowers preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Brian Nicholson, Normalville, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Violet Bowers, Gladys Prinkey and Helen Arlene Shipley and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Friday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment to follow in Maple Summit Cemetery.
