Dennis W. Livengood, 73, Fort Hill, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born December 30, 1952 in Confluence, a son of Howard Byron and Helen (Beachy) Livengood. His parents and an infant brother, Byron Lynn preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Witt), daughter, Amanda Schmidt (Roy), Fort Hill and sons, Andrew (Lisa), Pittsburgh and Seth (Phatphitcha), Atoka, TN; grandchildren, Christopher and Amaris Kozlowski, Bryce and Riley Schmidt, Brooke and Riley Livengood and Noah, Zoey and Jonah Livengood; sister, Denise Livengood, Fort Hill; 3 brothers-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from California University in 1974. He taught industrial arts at Rockwood Area High School for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved talking about his family history and life growing up in Fort Hill. But, most of all Dennis loved the Lord, his wife, children and grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-3 PM on Monday, November 2, 2026 at the United Community Church of God in Ursina. A memorial service will follow at 3 o’clock with Pastor Shawn Roberts officiating. Interment in Silbaugh Cemetery at a later date.
