Darwin "Doc" Kemp, 79, Confluence, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born June 23, 1944 in Confluence and raised by his grandparents, Charles and Christina Nicholson. He is survived by his wife, Debra (King), a son, Andrew Darwin and daughters, Cassandra Conn (Bill) and Danielle Kemp (fiancé, Angelo Cortese), all of Confluence and a brother, John Lichty (Karen), Addison. He was predeceased by a sister, Pamela Lichty. Doc was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 787, Parkersburg, WV and at one time was a volunteer assistant baseball coach for Turkeyfoot Valley High School. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Silbaugh Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Monday.
