Chester Douglas "Pappy" Hiles, 75, of Confluence, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born August 11, 1941 in Connellsville, a son of Chester and Violet (Roebuck) Hiles. His parents and a sister, Melvina Mansfield preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Dorsey Hiles, Connellsville and a daughter, Darla Earley, Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Kyle Douglas Earley and Katrina Earley; sister, Dixie Wilt, Friendsville, MD and brother, Braden Hiles, Oakland, MD; also, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Doug loved hunting, fishing, sports and motorcycle riding. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Friends will be received from 6-8 PM Friday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 12 PM Saturday with interment to follow in Thorpe/Greenbrier Cemetery, Ohiopyle. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Uniontown Hospital Rehab Center for the care they gave to Doug.
