Betty Carol Wass, 84, Addison, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home. She was born January 6, 1933 in Accident, MD, a daughter of Carl and Elsie (Grove) Glass. Her parents, husband of 38 years, John L. Wass and brothers, Ronald and Larry Glass preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, John L. Wass II and wife, Mary; grandsons, John III and wife, Amanda, Andrew and wife, Melissa, Eric and wife, Katie and Timothy and wife, Jordan, all of Addison; 5 great granddaughters, Emma, Reese, Josie, Ava and Rosie; 4 great grandsons, Wyatt, Jeramiah, John IV and Noah; brother, Donald Glass and wife, Kathy, Hanover, MD and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Addison and the Tuesday Quilters, Addison Vol. Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and the Addison Twp. election board. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, gardening, canning and spending time with her family. She was a volunteer at many community functions. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother as well as a friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday with Rev. Andy Gannon officiating. Interment in Addison Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service.
