Betty L. Hartman Decker, 89, formerly of Confluence, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville, Maryland. She was born April 18, 1929 in Cumberland, Maryland, a daughter of Harold and Mabel Higgs. Her parents, husbands, Alfred Hartman and Allen Decker, sons, Gary and Michael "Mitch" Hartman, daughter, Debra Stempora, sister, Patricia Hunt and brother, Raymond Higgs preceded her in death. She is survived by step children, Terry Decker and wife, Sue, Richlands, NC and Carol Brant, Meyersdale; 15 grandchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren and daughters-in-law, Gale Hartman and Pamela Hartman. Betty was a member of the Red Hats, Confluence United Methodist Church and Methodist Women, Ursina American Legion Post 946 Auxiliary and was a retired secretary of Berlin Borough. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 1 PM Tuesday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment in Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
