Betty M. Beckett, 96, Altoona, formerly of New Stanton passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her home. She was born February 22, 1929 in Confluence, a daughter of William H. and Estella (Show) Reckner. Her parents, husband, Glen, son, Larry, brothers, Harry and John Reckner and sisters, Alta Tannehill, Helen Bizantz and Jeanne McNamara preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Lucinda Beckett, Altoona and a son, Craig Beckett (Sherri), Ruffsdale; grandchildren, Carrie Vento, Sandra Barnhart, Jaclyn Luchon and Jessica, Jason, Joshua, Jeremy and Chad Beckett; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Conn, Confluence and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2-6 PM Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Monday with Rev. David Vento officiating. Interment will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to UPMC Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
