Bess L. (Stairs) McClintock, 91, Confluence, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 in Henry Clay Villa, Markleysburg. She was born March 9, 1932, a daughter of James, Sr. and Freda (Kreger) Stairs. Her parents, husband, Edwin Paul McClintock, granddaughter, Stephanie McClintock and brothers, James, Jr., Dane and William Stairs preceded her in death. She is survived by sons, Daniel (Denise), John (Janice) and Mark (Twila), all of Confluence and daughters, Janice Miller (Chuck), Confluence and Gail Baldwin (DeWayne), Edgewater, MD; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a sister, Linda McClintock (Larry), Confluence. Bess was a member of the Harnedsville Community Church. In the 1970's, she was employed as a secretary by Nace Chevrolet in Confluence. Per her wishes, there will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service, officiated by Rev. Sam McClintock, on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1 PM in the McClintock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-4240.
