Alva E. Livengood, 94, of Fort Hill, passed away July 13, 2013 in Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. He was born September 8, 1918 in Fort Hill, a son of Lewis and Myrtle (Schweitzer) Livengood. His parents, wife, Mary Ellen (Matthews), brothers, Lester, Harry, Oran, Earl and Robert and sisters, Velma Rush, Violet Rush and Edna Tressler preceded him in death. He is survived by daughters, Sharon McClintock and husband, John, Fort Hill and Virginia Beachy and husband, Gary, Warren, OH; grandchildren, Marc McClintock and wife, Terra, Seattle, WA, Shawn Beachy and wife, Melissa, Blacklick, OH and Christine Beachy, Warren, OH and great grandchildren, Leo McClintock and Ryan and Justin Beachy. Alva retired from General Refractories of Fort Hill. He was an avid hunter all his life and liked to garden, spend time with his grandchildren and visit with friends and neighbors. There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service will he held at a later date and will be announced at that time.
